All Have Sinned
Everyone has sinned. All have fallen short of God's glorious standard. No amount of good works will compensate for our sins. Therefore, we are utterly incapable of saving ourselves.
The Wages of Sin Is Death
Since we've all sinned and failed God's standard, we are disqualified from being in His presence. The result is our eternal separation from Him. We are deserving of death, and are destined to end up in a place called hell.
God Gives the Free Gift of Eternal Life
But good news! Eternal life with God is freely given to us through salvation. This starts when we surrender our lives to God and have a personal relationship with Him (John 17:3).
In Christ Jesus Our Lord
Salvation is solely found in Jesus Christ's finished work on the cross. He took our place of death, and because of His sinlessness, resurrected and triumphed over it! He was the only one qualified to save us. Once we confess that "Jesus is our Lord and Master", and believe with all our hearts that Jesus died and rose from the dead, we will be saved (Romans 10:9).
